La semita de yema es una evolución del bolillo español, combinados con los productos autóctonos de nuestro país cinco estrellas. Es en 1910 que se elabora por primera vez en Tegucigalpa este pan, a manos de dos damas Españolas que se asentaron en nuestra ciudad; esto fue algo que al pasar de los años, fue quedando como una tradición oral.
