Wash and dry the potatoes. Feel free to either leave them skin on or peel 'em. Cut the potatoes into ¼ inch thick slices then cut each slice into ¼ inch fries. Toss the potatoes with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook the fries in two batches at 380 degrees, tossing each batch halfway through.
