The iconic Knox Covered Bridge on Yellow Springs Road in Valley Forge National Historical Park has received an important preservation treatment, thanks to the perseverance of the Friends of Valley Forge Park. The 1865 wooden span is strongly associated with the park, but is owned and maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Covered Bridge Knox Bridge in Valley Closed After Hit and Run

Date:August 13, 2012 Contact:Don Naimoli, 610-783-1777 Beginning the week of August 20th, 2012, the Knox Covered Bridge on Yellow Springs Road will be closed for approximately 2 weeks to undergo much needed maintenance and a fresh coat of paint. For The Friends of Valley Forge Park, getting someone to paint the bridge was the easy part.
