The Pointe Des Chenes Park is a very popular destination for summer activities like swimming, windsurfing, hiking and camping. The long sandy beach is the highlight for many who visit the area. There is a day use area with large grass lawns, picnic sites, picnic shelters and washrooms. Nearby is a campground with serviced and non serviced.

This is very much a provincial park styled beach. You've got picnic tables, and lots of little beach bays to swim in. Best of all, the water is so much warmer than Georgian Bay or Lake Superior.

Aug 2015 • Friends. Pointe Des Chenes beach is owned by the City of Sault Ste. Marie, and is located on the outskirts of town on Lake Superior. Plenty of beach space to relax and enjoy the sun. Water is shallow which is nice for kids, however you have to walk a ways out if you want to get into deep water.
