Ford built 149,000 of these five-seaters with 2.5- and 3-litre V6 engines, plus an 84bhp 2-litre V4 poverty version. Secondhand it was a real working man's Rolls-Royce with its helicopter landing pad bonnet and, in Executive form, leather seats. Only the Vauxhall Viscount matched the 'flying pig' for suburban snob appeal.
