Cook pasta and drain well. Drain the fruit and set aside. To the reserved juices of the fruit, add the sugar, eggs and flour. Cook over low heat in a heavy saucepan until thickened, about 5-10 minutes. Pour over the cooked alphabet pasta, cover and chill overnight. The next day or prior to serving, add the reserved fruit and the Cool Whip.

ALPHABET MACARONI SALAD : 1 sm. can crushed pineapple 1 sm. can mandarin oranges 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. flour 2 eggs, well beaten 1 c. cooked alphabet macaroni 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip. Drain fruit and reserve juices. Refrigerate fruit. Combine the juices, sugar, salt and flour. Cook until slightly thickened. Stir in the well beaten eggs.

Instructions. In large pot of boiling water, cook pasta according to package directions, adding broccoli in the last 3 minutes of cooking. Rinse with cold water; drain. Toss together pasta, broccoli and dressing. Stir in apple, Cheddar and chives.


Easy as ABC Salad Two of a Kind

Cook 8 ounces alphabet macaroni according to directions (omit salt). Refrigerate when cool. Prepare pudding but use 1/2 cup juices only of the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Do not use milk to prepare. Set pineapple and mandarin oranges aside. Mix cooled macaroni and pudding.

Drain and set aside. Drain juices from pineapple and oranges. Cook juices in saucepan with sugar, flour, and eggs. Cook until thick.
